Who are AvMA?
AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) is a UK charity dedicated to promoting patient safety and justice for individuals affected by medical accidents. Their mission is to help people who are impacted by avoidable medical harm. AvMA offer confidential advice and casework services, as well as assisting patients to navigate legal and healthcare systems, especially in cases involving clinical negligence.
Along with these practical services for patients and their families, AvMA play a huge role in shaping the landscape in patient safety and justice relating to avoidable medical harm and accidents. And events like the Summer Sundown Social are also part of the charity’s commitment to advocacy, awareness raising and campaigning. They help to improve patient safety and grow awareness and accountability in healthcare systems.

September’s event will provide an opportunity for networking, advocacy and to celebrate the fantastic work that AvMA do. We are proud to be one of the lead sponsors of the evening, along with Alldoq injury lawyers. It’s also particularly exciting for us at Peak, not only because it’s going to be an amazing night for a worthy cause, but because it’s our first event under our new name as a new firm.
